Probably one of the best things we did at Gladstone SHS was to introduce outdoor Ed.

I was greatly influenced by Denis Bridger from Maroon Outdoor Ed and must pay tribute to Principal Barry McGuire and the staff from many subject departments for supporting the program.

We used to run school camps for less than $12 - kids used to make tents from builders plastic and take their school bag as their "back pack". It was simple.

The program is alive and well today.
